... If I'm remembering the old one correctly, they didn't actually change anything. It's just rewritten in a more friendly/cooperative-sounding way, as well as being a bit shorter.

Well, I think the old one required you supply a real-world mailing address, but that's the only change I've noticed.

i love e621. no retards like at fchan/ychan, no angry basement virgin keyboard warriors like at lulz. just organized, searchable furry pics with some fun comments mixed in.

I hope Varka continues the iron fisted nazi regime of moderating that e621 was beloved for.

I doubt Varka will do much moderating of the e621 community, he'll probably be leaving that up to me.

As far as my own style of moderating, it's mostly one of non-interference unless it's just absolutely necessary, especially during these initial weeks/months of being a new admin and fairly new to this site's community.

And if there's anything I've learned from my past observations, it's a very good idea to lurk for a while and get a feel for the community before jumping in and trying to make a name for yourself. So that's what I'll be doing at first to an extent. You'll see more of me later on. :P

Mellis is no longer involved with the site. The only admins left are Varka and myself. The list of moderators has not changed.

Aww, he'll be missed. And I noticed that there's like 1 Janitor. Shouldn't he/she be a mod or something, or do you guys still plan to use Janitors like with Danbooru.

So Varka isn't really getting involved with the site, (s)he just owns and maintains it?

If it's the same Varka that I think it is (and I'm pretty sure it is), then we are in good hands.

I wouldn't say he's not getting involved. He's been very busy working on the site ever since it was transferred onto his server. You might see him a good bit at first, but he was already very busy with the multiple companies that he runs and projects that he's already working on.

I don't want to speak for him too much or presume what he will and won't do, though. He does have plans for improving e621, but I'm fairly certain that he's eventually going to be letting me handle all aspects of the site except for the code and server that it runs on. Which roles he wants to perform on this site is all up to him.
