Topic: multi-pools

do we really need multiple pools for things?
seriously.
for example: why do we have more than one pool for Ashchu Adventures? do we really need to split the comic and make it two pools? same for roommates (that comic about bowser junior and that one digimon), I'm aware that it's in three parts, but each part is linked as one comic series, so why not put it in one pool and label it as simply "roommates" rather than "roommates part 1" and so on. I also wonder if we can get duplicate pools such as "I,Werewolf...?" (which was duped because of a typo) deleted. same with empty pools such as "dragon reading". these appear to be unnecessary to keep around.

idk, parts of a series should get their own pool imo. Like with the roommates comic, all the chapters would have their own pool so it's easier to find a certain chapter, and are all in a seperate pool together so you can read the entire comic without having to look for the next chapter in the pool listing.

Also, useless pools should be reported so they can get deleted.

honestly, it depends for me.

drgraevling has a comic that he's put out 3 chapters for. he works on the whole chapter and releases them over the course of a couple days. For something like this.. I think the way I pooled them on post #138305 works best. You can start at the begining of the long story, or the start of the chapter if you're already familiar. I think that's what riversyde was describing. :)

For pools where it's multiple chapters of a comic, I can understand and get behind that. When it's multiple pools of similar images that coul;d be consolidated into one, that should be pooled under only one. One that omes to mind is a human & catgirl comic that has two pools for the same thing. Then there's a few human-related pools that seem to have similar content but aren't consolidated.

On that note, shouldn't sci_fi_babes be a tag and the pool removed?

The tag I can see, but I think the pool is in general for alien/terran females from Sci-Fi series such as Mass effect.

report redundant pools to me or someone else :) --as well as empty ones.. I dont' think ther'es a way for the average user to delete them.

as for the pools... pools should be used for series of images, or collections of images that are not easily tagged.

Comics, image series are all good uses. SnowWolf's favorite fap images? Not. Catgirls? Not. Fun and Fappable Greek Mythology, featuring an assortment of nymphs, fauns, satyrs, centaurs and other things that have a Greecian air to them? hell yeah :D (as long as it's not EVER satyr, EVERY nymph, EVERY centaur etc..)

If there is, I haven't found it. Also, is there a way for the average user to rearrange posts in a pool? Or do we just have to delete them and re-add them in the correct order?

Select "Order" from the options near the top of a pool's page.

not all pools are publically editable though, as fair warning. :)
