THAT KICKED... SO MUCH ASS!

There were loads of changes, but they're all for the better, methinks. As long as they bring Panthro back. >_> Wouldn't hurt for Snarf to have his voice again, either.

OTHERWISE
PURE FRICKING WIN AND SEXY AWESOME.

Speaking of sexy, they sure sexied-up Cheetara for the new version, didn't they?

Cheetara is so much better now (looks and personality), and Osbert is cuter and a helluva lot less annoying from what i've seen. In the short dialouge he had, I didn't him say "snarf" once, and I hope that's a good sign.

Now all we can do is sit back and wait for rule 34 to surface.

Placing bets now. I expect a fresh surge of Rule 34 within a week.

I, for one, was glad to see Snarf sans-dialogue. He can play the occasionally-competent comic relief just fine without a voice.

But overall, I think I like the new interpretation of the series. Definitely going to have the DVR record a few more episodes, at least.

I wouldn't mind Snarf talking. I just hope it doesn't have a Pokemon speech impediment this time *snarf*. I swear, that's the single most stupid thing about Pokemon that pisses me off.

You missed this one
post #132328
Which was made based on some of the early concept artwork that was released months ago. Don't have cable so be a while till I can comment on the series.

True, the old Snarf was more than a little annoying, but did hold a certain charm... But if he doesn't suddenly regain the ability to speak, then the writers are going to have to pick somebody else to be the "Voice of Reason" character for Lion-O.

Now, clearly Tygra has become too vain to assume that role in this version, and despite being a Cleric, I find it hard to imagine Cheetara being one, either(though she may surprise us and make a damn fine one), which leaves only Panthro if he comes back or the inclusion of a new character--Or Jaga coming back as an apparition every episode or two, which would get overplayed REALLY quickly.

Panthro pretty much mainly served as the mechanic for the team in the original, though I'm willing to bet he'll have a more battle-oriented role in this version if he comes back, and his status as a high-ranking military leader may well put him in the top spot as the potential adviser.

Damnit, I didn't even know it was coming on yet. I don't get TV, so I can't watch it 'till it's up on Netflix or something.

I havn't looked, but I'd bet you can find it on you tube :P

I've just watched the first two episodes, and I'm wondering...
Why would the lizards (diurnal) instead of the cats (nocturnal) work for an undead creature who can't stand sunlight?

Same reason that werewolves originally worked for Vampires in the Underworld series. As a sort of daytime protectors they'd be able to fight at full strength while Mumm-Ra is weak.
