Three people (if you count myself) say that this looks way to much like a copied Jay Nay piece, i swear ive seen that image before, its the blond puppy girl, i just cant find the image that was copied. If you can or know where to find it, nail this guy for art theft, if you cant then *shrugs* but im like 80% sure ive seen that exact pose, exact line art somewhere before, like i said, blond puppy girl.

I can't find it, checked all of his comics and most sketches/pin ups, he likes this pose but I couldn't find one with directly this position.

May be a simple inspiration and not a direct trace.
Gotta check it when I have some more time.

If not here.
Then it's one of his other works that are not from furaffinity.

It certainly looks like Beth, for instance post #219145 or post #196924. But that's definitely not Naylor.

And it's definitely not theft, unless I missed the part where some gallery now has a blank space on one of its walls.

If copying/simulating/emulating someone else's art style were to be considered wrong, that would immediately obliterate at least 60% of the pony art on this site for copying the style of the original show.

Not saying Emulating the art style, i mean someone copying the line art, coloring it and posting it as their own with no credit at all to the real artist. anyway, id say case closed if yall say its not copyed then good enough for me

I think it's more a copy of this pic. http://e621.net/post/show/40024/2009-breasts-clitoris-close-up-female-lynxia-mouse That's what I saw when I looked at it originally.

Honestly, it looks like a frankenstein picture, too many mistakes for only source.

With that said, I checked every picture and comic I could find, if this was a trace, it would have been of a very, very old pic and the only thing really resembling his style is the face and hair.

I'd go out on a limb and say she referenced this, there are too many errors and irregularities in it to be a trace.
She did this to a different pic of Naylor already amd the result is pretty much the same, to inconsistent with the original for a trace.
Looked at the original(s) but drew it herself on a different sheet of paper.

Sounds like a good way to learn to me.

No, it really isn't. You should only use another artist's work as inspiration, not as a teaching tool.

Unless your goal is to be able to mimic other artists' work. Like that bulletsoup person, for example: Art looks just like Hardiman's, but he draws things that Hardiman refuses to draw. This is called "an ultimate win for us".

By that logic is it wrong to follow drawing guides.

She took something as a reference and why not?
Would you say the same about a photo?
