/cant see thumbnails on wii
/can do basically everything else
if you get this could you talk to some admins about making e6 more friendly to the wiis IE opera? only probs are no thumbnails and cant forum posting

A message I got from a friend, I don't know too much about it but is something like this in development?

Pretty sure that e6 wasn't ever intended to be compatible with anything that isn't a computer's browser.

Why didn't your friend post this himself, in the bug report thread?

Pretty sure it has something to do with java script not working on wii.

admins have known about this for a while. doubt it's going to get fixed.

It has to do with javascript loading of thumbnails. If JS doesn't work or if execution time is artificially limited(like in Opera Mini) Then you won't have thumbnails.
E621 used to work fine on Opera Mini until JS thumbnail loading was introduced :<

Does that mean the site won't work without JS now, either?

I wonder if you can feature-detect JS time limiting... if not, you'd have to UA-sniff the Wii and just fall back to a no-JS interface. I'm not sure the Wii's UA, but I'm sure it includes "Wii". :p

FALSE!! I sometimes log in from my phone (Opera Mini 12), though it's slow but acceptable. I think it depends on the power of the device or the version :/

I think that's Opera Mobile, not Mini(Opera Mini goes up to version 7 currently).
Opera Mini relies on an external server to prepare it's pages.
Opera Mobile is it's own browser and renders pages locally.
