Topic: thumbnails not loading

i can't see any of the thumnails on http://e621.net/post

it looks like this: http://yfrog.com/jpfooep

but when i click on a thumbnail, it loads the image.... most of the time; sometimes the image isn't there either. i'm having trouble finding a pattern.

usually when i have an issue like this, it is due to refcontrol or noscript add-ons. so i tried turning them off/adding exceptions but it hasn't changed anything.

any ideas? thanks.

Use Opera. Clear catch. Check fire wall settings...

This site runs on ads, not nice to have them disabled :(

Though check your settings and try a different browser. Chrome/Safari do really well recently.

i did track it down to a referer issue. however, even after disabling refcontrol, i was still experiencing the issue.

further investigation indicated, for some reason, that my network.http.sendRefererHeader setting was custom set to "1". after i reset that to the default of "2" as well as adding an exception for main.e621.inthesewer.net in refcontrol, everything is working again as expected.

and i donate to the site.

thanks.

Assuming you're using Firefox,

type 'about:config'
tell it you understand, and promise not to poke around blindly
type 'network.http.sendReferrerHeader' (you don't actually need to type all of it, which is nice...)
right-click > modify > replace the '1' with a '2'
click 'OK'
close that tab
hit Ctrl+F5 on your e621 tab
and cross your fingers.

maybe type www.e621.net into your addy bar that could help

Yeah, that doesn't work for me. I went in and it already had the value as two.

I can't see anything on my iPad, what the fuck is happening

You were presented with three options:
1. Look into the bug report thread, and find people having the same issue
2. Start a new thread
3. Revive an 11 year old thread

Out of these options, you decided to pick #3.
Why? How did you even find this thread?
