Posted under Off Topic

i was just walking through the living room and happened to catch this headline on the news. seeing as i don't really care for news channels on tv, i went on google and here is the first article that came up.

This is very exciting news, and kind of unexpected. That simplifies things a lot for the stragglers. :P

Cheers!

Great, now God is going to burn this sodomite nation in nuclear wrath.

I didn't know this is what Fallout 4 at E3 meant.

pfft, no but maybe somewhere in my faves.

edit: huh, only that one with the charizard but that still doesn't seem quite fitting for this particular occasion. still, it's great news.

nope, just the theme and tools involved change over time but war itself remains the same. humans killing humans. humanity can't live with itself, doubt it'll be any more peaceful (well, relatively speaking of course since theres never true peace without some form of conflict here and there for any number of reasons.) should anthros ever come to be.

It's still a lot nicer than it used to be
Avoiding civilian casualties would never have been considered back in the day, even in the mid 20th century.

This is a great day for freedom indeed, but I suggest you all get married while you can. When Jeb Bush is elected President (let's be real, Hilary isn't going to beat him), he's gonna be a dickwad and pack the courthouse. Then as soon as the issue worms its way up to the Supreme Court again, marriage will become a state's right once again. I'm predicting 2018.

Regardless, this issue is progressing in the right direction.
At least in the US.

Why would any one even care about this shit? Who would want to get married anyway?

My thoughts exactly tho

'Yay we're gonna love each other forever! Let's spend a majority of our money on one day!'

You know, it is possible to have a wedding without spending thousands of dollars...

Because they want to get married? People want to get marred with the person they love... If gay people didn't want to do so, why would they want to legalize same-sex marriage?

the more you spend on your wedding, the higher your chance of divorce

but that boils down to stupid people doing stupid things

Well if someone like Ted Cruz,Jeb Bush or such get elected, they should be reminded of this part of the US Constitution

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion"

40% of Republicans support gay marriage.

Edit: So, is anyone getting gay married?

Same-sex marriage is legal now. The question is whether it will be tolerated properly or not.

After all, slavery is no longer part of America, but racism still is.

No it would not. I think 90% of family members think "It would be inappropriate to participate in a gay wedding." and it's not racism, it's morality.

This makes me genuinely concerned.

probably going to be a riot in the south since gay marriage got legalized and the confedertate flag was made borderline illegal. Riots with people burning rainbow flags and pictures of Obama, and carrying around confederate flags seems like a definite possibility

RAINBOWS AND UNICORN DINOSAURS SHALL ROAM THE STREETS EATING OUR BABIES AND GOD SHALL SMITE THEE WITH THE FORCE OF TEN THOUSAND NAZI ROCKETS DESTROYING THE WORLD!

Just kidding but in all seriousness the fact that it was equalized is a great step forward into having it accepted more openly now that it is viewed as ''equal'' its not gonna be wanted for quite some time and people are gonna fight it but now...the deed is done and as much as they blow smoke they can't change it.

i'm not even going to post a link to it here due to the whole "no religious talk" rules and whatnot (PM me if you want it) but i was just looking on youtube and wow at all the religious arguments over this (though i guess that's not very surprising though since religion has never really like homosexuality much at all in general). the comment section is ablaze with arguments everywhere. morality, right/wrong, repent, etc., the works. how it's bad for us as a nation (pfft, oh please... >.> i'm sure theres far wose things of that topic to discuss.) i might've up voted the video except the whole thing was nothing but one of the justices against this going on and on about how he disapproves and gays should repent, yadda yadda yadda, completely predictable stuff.

I don’t think people got these ideas from their religion. Contrary to what many people on both sides of the issue seem to believe, the Bible isn’t all about the evils of homosexuality. Actually, it has more to say about things ranging from giving to the poor and eating shellfish than it does about homosexuality.
Jesus didn’t say a single thing about gays, but he did say stuff like “Let he among you who is without sin cast the first stone.” But that doesn’t help justify prejudice so bigots ignore that part.

yeah, i wasn't so much referring to the bible as i was all the people who go about saying how it's bad, immoral, or just wrong, or a sin.

Homophobia is more of an inborn natural fear rooted in the human psych that is scientifically proven to be linked to the emotion of disgust, rather than something taught. The reason religious people are more likely to be homophobes is because there is a whole personality suite that tends to be more conservatively minded and is prone to religious behavior, but this personality is also more susceptible to the emotion of disgust, which heightens their sensitivity to homosexual behavior.

It isn't that they're homophobes because their religious, it's because their religious because they're easily upset by deviant social behaviors.

Correlation vs causation.

TBH Scalia is pretty accurate there. However much I like the superficial outcome, this .. pretty much is fiat bullshit in terms of process, and indeed has nothing to do with the constitution.

Urine is not particularly unsanitary, because your body doesn't use urine to extract bacteria that much, it's more about expelling excess liquids and vitamins, it's also slightly acidic. Your poop is really toxic on the other hand, it's a whole different story. I don't like that fetish, but the reason people are into it is because people find dirty or gross things to be sexy for some reason. A lot of people find furry/bestiality to be gross, for some people that's part of the appeal.
