Topic: about koopa -> scalie implication

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

for the record i know nothing about mario universe but i am fairly sure that this is bad implication because it causes this picture to get tagged as scalie:

and i know sure that this definitely should not be tagged as scalie. this applies to the content of entire meowser tag.

I think this is why we generally don't implicate species, right? It seems like it should be removed.

Actually, I'm not really convinced that picture should even have the koopa tag on it. Meowser is not actually a koopa, it's a feline version of the character Bowser. So shouldn't it just be tagged with the character name (meowser/bowser) + feline + spiked_shell? Tagging Meowser with the 'koopa' tag (just because Bowser is normally a koopa) would be equivalent to tagging a cat version of Rainbow Dash with 'equine'. While it is the original species, it's still not the species being shown in the image, so it doesn't belong in the tags in any case that's drawn-as-a-different-species-than-normal images.

It's not the same situation as any of the pokemon species tags, which have to serve double function as both quasi-character tags and as species tags, so implications made with any other species groups end up breaking sooner or later. In this case bowser/meowser has a character tag separate from his normal species (koopa) and the only way that the koopa tag even gets added to a Bowser image is manually. Glancing through the rest of the koopa tag, everything that is actually a koopa species does seem to also be scalie. So I think this is just a case of a few mistags on Meowser and all it needs is a cleanup on a few images.
