Description
The two felines were walking down the street, almost completely covered with snow. They didn't really bother much in checking for cars because traffic was slowing down quite a bit, allowing them to stroll around without worrying about vehicular mishaps.
Just coming out from a bar, where the two had spent a night full of drinks, fun and laughs, Simon and Mark were holding each other up with their arms around each other as they walked, making sure neither would trip and fall on the snowy sidewalk under their feet. The duo were laughing heartily and almost non-stop, most probably because of all the alcohol they drank when they were in that bar they had just left.
"I'm gonna have to come to this bar more often... ahahah... I'm feeling awesome tonight!" said Mark while waving a mug full of beer in his right hand.
"We... we should get home, Mark... it's getting really late," replied Simon, far from being sober, a pint of beer in his free hand too.
"Nooooo, dude, I don't wanna!" the larger lion whimpered in a rather funny way. "I wanna spend the whole night with you!"
"It's almost the end of the year, we'll have *hic* plenty of time for the last day!" muttered Simon, noticing he had just started hiccuping.
The two continued to wander around the streets, excited and cheerful while other people looked at them with curiosity and/or awkwardness before returning to their own errands.
Not far from the apartment building where both felines lived, Mark's eyelids started to feel heavy, and soon enough he was desperately trying to not fall asleep. Simon noticed this, smiled and gave a light slap to the lion's face.
"Yo, Mark, we're almost there... I don't want to carry you home, you're heeeeeaaaavyyyy!" said the cougar, still not sober enough to perfectly phrase his words.
"Dude... did I ever tell you that I love you? Because... I love..." Mark mumbled in his last effort to stay awake, and then his head slumped forward, his eyes closed and a loud snore replaced any more words. Without any strength left, the lion was now fully asleep, the mug falling from his hand and the last bit of beer left spilling on the snow. Simon began to feel his friend's surprisingly heavy body start weighing him down, feeling almost like a lifeless corpse, so the cougar tossed his own mug aside and now used both arms to try to hod Mark up long enough to at least drag him to the building. After some huge efforts, the cougar managed to reach the entrance of the building with Mark, and after calling the elevator to reach their apartments, Simon tried to wake his friend by calling his name.
"... huh?" Mark managed to mumble as he was roused from his sudden slumber, trying to figure out who was disturbing him, then smiling as he saw the cute cougar's face.
"You know, I love you too," Simon said, giving the lion a kiss on the cheek.
"You're too good to me..." After that, Mark fell sleep again, this time for good, while the cougar helped him get in the elevator, pressing the button for the designated floor where both of them could get in their own comfortable beds.
