Making Of: Part 5 - Liger
So, lots to talk about this time. This is my first step into using acrylic paints more or less the way they're meant to be used. Doesn't mean I did a good job, but at least I didn't try to use them like watercolors this time. x3
Background has a TON of problems…the middle layer came out too similar in color to the foreground layer so it all sort of blends into one big blob. And the background layer is too close to the sky layer, so things look too strongly separated. Also the characters aren't 100%, the tiger in particular, Her under color should have been more yellow, and her stripes are just pure crap.
But oddly enough, I'm relatively happy with this one. I think I learned some things, and found out where I want to take my style. The details are a bit off, but stepping back I think the characters and colors really pop off the page and that's what I like. Just needs some work now!
We'll see how it goes though. I have a tendency to give up when things get hard.
Lemme know your thoughts, folks!
