News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

    I understand artists need t omake money but why with the low quality?

    From a marketing stand point it makes no sense to me, I mean, I'd imagine people will see this freemium quality and turn away thinking THIS IS the MP4 version. If you at least kept the quality SUBPAR as opposed to forcibly low and compressed you could sell better as HD renders or better patreon rewards.

    Keep up the good work though, it does look good.

    Just to play the other side, It could be they are trying to emulate the look that the original simpsons had.

    no because he did this with a couple of other animations too. Not just the simpsons. Also I doubt the original simpsons would be this pixelated with the disturbing lack of digital TV's in the 1980s.

    Also a high quality version exists ON HIS PATREON.

    Why does it keep getting down votes? It's a pretty well made animation, quality could be better but it's not horrible.

    There was 5mb for a file uploading on furaffinity. Thats why it such bad quality. And yes i was trying to emulate old simpsons show look on tv. Thats why the screen ratio is 4:3. The lines was blured in vegas and then sharpened for old style animation look.

    ..do you mean an upload limit? That does make sense, furaffinity is kind of shit for flash animations to be brutally honest.

    Also, by "emulating the old look", I thought the other guy meant going for the FIRST artstyle from Season 1, which we can all agree kinda looks shitty. I didn't notice the aspect ratio nor the scan lines, it just looked very pixelated to me. That's probably due to compression though. To me, I would say upload here instead with a less compresesd version and add scan line effects, a blur, and also bleach the character's yellow out just slightly. As in pick a much brighter color. That would hit the mark for the first episode of Season 2, "Bart Gets an F", which is the first time that the Simpsons implements the art style and animation that looks and feels so much better than season 1.

    What I want to know is... why Lisa Simpson lol?

    If this were LITERALLY any other female character than the entirely desexualized voice of reason 8 year old girl from the sitcom everyone in our generation watched growing up, I'd love this animation.
