If the situation would be reversed, and a straight comic would have a comment begging for gay action, it wouldn't get this much hate.

The art is great, that's the main point. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE would like to have their preferences represented in this form, you can't deny that. So why is someone expressing his desire gets so much hate?

Gay people often state they are more chill and composed than straight people are, yet seeing how some can bash out at someone who does not share their preference sickens me.

I also hoped this turn into a WildeHopps comic, since the first few pages were so promising, so I feel a bit cheated now.

So if you paid your hard earned money for a picture of a steak, but you got a picture of a salad because the artist is a vegetarian you wouldn't feel cheated for your money? His patrons pay him for his content, he then told them they could go fuck themselves when he gave them the option to make something straight and that's what they wanted but he decided he didn't want to draw that. That's how you lose business.

I won't pretend I belong to the second group. I watched the movie a thousand times and came to love these two and saw interesting character development for them.

Seeing Nick get boned by a character who I have no information about, have not seen any character development, and Nick didn't had a single interaction with, simply does not stir up my interest.

Nick and Judy shared a wonderful story so most of their fans prefer to see more of THEM rather than character we as readers have no attachment to.

If you don't like what the artist is doing...then don't follow his content anymore. At the end of the day, when it's all said and done, the artist doesn't have to pander to what the fans want. An artist's entire following could want one thing and the artist can do something entirely different because that is the artist's choice to do so.

I have not seen all this Pantreon stuff since I am not on it or whatever...but it didn't sound like the artist guaranteed any sort of content. How is sounds is he simply made a poll to see what content the fans wanted. It doesn't sound like he said anything along the lines of "Oh, you want this certain content...then I will make what you want."

Like I said, at the end of the day, the artist makes their own decisions...wither the fans like it or not. I for one could care less about WHAT the content is. I love Adam Wan's work regardless. I mean, hell, I am straight and still find some enjoyment from his gay content because his art is just that damn good.
