Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

MemberAm i the only lgbt person who thinks we should stop drumming it all up? Like, we got it, We're all equal and can marry whoever. If some guy thinks zapping people changes sexuality, then so be it, thats his nutty little pipe dreams, but we aren't oppressed, not anymore. I say this as a bisexual trans woman myself, I think we should focus more on our on community and some of the bad images it gives people, people like Sophie Labelle, who make transgenderism look like a religion.

MemberConsidering how trans people are constantly the victims a violent hate crimes, the US president banning trans people from the military, and being able to be fired for being trans, you're wrong.
This isnt counting the constant hate that LGBTQ+ people experience in their personal lives. Families will disown, or in some cases abuse their children for these reasons. Right now we have people trying to organize events to spite and hate us, such as the Straight Pride parade and "Make America Straight Again."
Also, Pride is about the accomplishments of the community over the years, and the accomplishments we are striving for. Theres so much of the world thats worse off than the US that need help.

MemberThe liberal mindset plus tunnel vision is really something, isn't it?
Sorry, but I have to agree with the trans chick. The LGBTQ movement used to be noble, but over the years, it's grown into a perverse shadow of its former self. It used to be about getting people to accept different sexualities, not waving around sex toys and coating yourself in menstrual blood while acting like the stereotypes they claim to not be.
Yes, homosexual and transexual people still suffer prejudice, we all do in one form or another. But at least they have a whole mob of violent protesters at their backs when news spreads.
