I read it as Luna's returned from her exile and gone to sleep in her old bed. Celestia has kept Luna's doll all these years, probably hugged it and cried over it a number of times, and now remembers, belatedly, in the middle of the night, that Luna used to always sleep with it...

Celestia apparently raises and sets the sun, then has the rest of the day free for other things. It probably works the same with Luna and the moon. Besides, I don't recall it being specified that Luna took the moon duties back anyway. Celestia might still do both.

Considering her sister was imprisoned for 1000 years it wouldn't be surprising if Celestia still does the workload while Luna recovers. :O

Trollestia will offer the cute plushie, and when Luna accepts it, she's gonna squish it on her face, making plush explode all over her and the bed. Then she'll cackle and leave Luna's bedroom.
