Nexii

A little picture I whipped up for nexii_vanadis

Some time ago, I got to meet some of the fuzzy folks from up in the city nearby. 'Twas qutie fun, the people were interesting and it was nice to get away for a little while. You were all cool, you know who you are.

Anyway, I would have gotten up there to hang out with them sooner, but I'm much too inept at driving to make it to and about the city on my own. But I guess on this particular day they had some free time, so Nexii ended up driving over an hour, both ways, -twice-, to get me there and back. Rediculous. xD Seemed like the least I could do was spend a few hours on a picture in return.

I actually struggled with this immensely. I have troubles deciding what to do with surprise gift arts... what are they okay with? What would they like? How does the character's personality play into it? I even ended up having to start an entirely new picture after getting half way through painting because I didn't like how it was turning out.

I think my struggle in this picture is pretty visible, there's some issues, but I hope as an overall picture it looks okay. I know the lack of a wash background looks a bit lazy, but I actually had one in the first time around and just didn't like how it was going- I think the effect in this one is much nicer. :P
