Jacob unzipped his small travel bag, pulling out the few things he had brought along with him. A few shorts and t-shirts, underwear, some shampoo, his bathing suit, and a few more items. The rest of the important stuff (his cellphone, money and cards) had been left in the hotel’s security box. He pulled his t-shirt off and tossed it in a corner of the room, deciding that a vacation on the beach called for a strict “no shirt” rule at all times. He slipped into the first pair of bermudas he got his large paws on, before turning to his roommate, his boyfriend Tobias, who had unzipped his own luggage. The insecure mouse twink’s luggage was bigger than the lion’s, Tobias insisting on bringing a lot of stuff “just in case”. Clothes, toiletries, accessories… Even there, Jacob had to tell him to tone it down back home, or else they would have needed to pay extra on the plane.

“We got maybe 2 hours before sundown, and I want to try out that water before anything else. What do you think?” Jacob asked, as the mouse dug into his luggage, which was crisp and perfectly packed. The lion had to at least give his boyfriend some credit: he was an expert packer. The white-furred twink nodded in agreement, pulling out a few articles of clothing, as well as a scuba set he had pre-emptively bought online “to avoid overpriced tourist traps”.

“We’ll just go on the beach right in front of the hotel, we just need our swimsuits and towels and… what is that?” the jock said, frowning his bushy eyebrows, as he watched the mouse pulling out massive cargo-like shorts. “What, it’s my swimsuit,” the mouse responded with a blush, as he watched Jacob walking close, gripping the shorts and tossing them aside. “We’re here for a week and how will I be able to flaunt my sexy boyfriend if he’s wearing a ship’s sail, huh?”

Tobias wasn’t exactly uncomfortable with his body. He ate well, did a little workout. He was lean and pretty proportionate, just a little less toned and tanned than the twinks you’d see in porn. But showing off wasn’t his thing. This is why he felt a little shy when Jacob dragged him to the small clothes store next to their hotel, going through the speedos and picking one for him, a rather small blue one. “Come on… I might as well just wear sunscreen, babe,” he protested, making the lion jock grin. “Don’t give me even better ideas now, cutie… Try it on, it’s on me. I want to be able to constantly see how sexy your ass is.”

Tobias gave in, the little ego push certainly helping. He loved Jacob, and knew there was no objectification or selfishness in the lion’s actions. He wanted the mouseboy to grow bolder and more confident… Take a few lessons from Spazz, maybe, but not too much. He thought about it when he watched the mouse walk out of the changing cabin, wearing nothing but the tight blue speedo, bashfully looking around to make sure no one was looking. Jacob purred loudly, nodding and making his mane swoosh. “You look amazing, babe… Though maybe an even smaller one would be even BETTER.” Tobias laughed then gently bapped his boyfriend, and they bought it.

Down on the beach, they first found a comfy spot in the sand, laying their towels down and sitting down, Tobias leaning against his boyfriend as the lion affectionately nuzzled his tuff of white hair, and they listened to the sound of the waves, the sky very slowly turning from blue to orange.
