exactly what I was thinking... would this be Martin?

Martin was a mouse, I don't remember the first squirrel to wield Martin's sword at the moment.

  • gonna add a note blazoning that shield as "Per bend sinister Azure and Gules, in dexter chief a lion to sinister Or, and in sinister base three fleurs-de-lis of the third, a double bend embattled and counter-embattled Argent overall"
i'm not quite sure if the "double bend embattled and counter-embattled" part is correct. the only historical precedent i know about is the arms of champagne, which are blazoned "D'azur à la bande d'argent, côtoyée de deux double-cotices potencées et contre-potencées d'or". i used the rough english equivalent. feel free to change the note if there's a better term.
