April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberLooking at the dudes eye-scar, two questions come to my mind.
Firstly, why is it red? Not a natural red either but the kind of bright red that almost glows and looks like like it was drawn on than an old wound.
Secondly, what could have made those scars in the first place?
The scars look like the typical "look at how tough a guy I am" scars that someone might put on a char just to make him look tougher.
The three strokes that close together mean it had to have been pretty small, or the claws that made them would have been further apart. Those claws look like they where from a cat, and not one of the big wild ones either. One of those cute little domesticated ones. Hardly the kind of thing that screams "something big and nasty did this to me but it still didn't manage to kill me", which is what those "manly scars earned in courageous battle with a most dangerous beast" is supposed to signal.
But with that scar it looks more like he 1ike he got beaten up by "Mittens" than by anything actually dangerous.

Seriously, who cares?
That's a character you will probably never see again as long as you don't look at this picture again.

MemberI was going to joke about how a remarkable amount of male furries have some type of scar that always seems to be placed on their eye, which in reality, actually suck balls as far as your vision goes.
But then I remembered that's no joke. That's ironic truth.
