News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

To prevent seeing art like this, consider adding some tags to your blacklist:

Apologies if I missed any tags.

  • Always thought it was odd this sites general users have such an issue with this sort of art.
If you have a genuine dislike, then blacklist it.
If you personally don't enjoy it then be on your way.

    So strange.

Do you honestly find that so strange? Everyone has an opinion and many people like to somehow show their own opinion. The easiest way to do that online is to give a like or dislike. Or do you have a problem that people don't like something that you do? There is nothing strange about it.

I think FourEye is referring to the fact that it is strange that people don't use a blacklist for kinks they don't like. I personally don't use a blacklist, but that is because I am into nearly everything and turned off by nothing.

However, what the person is bringing up is that it is strange that people don't use a tool where they can block this kind of content when they do have a distaste for it, instead of just constantly disliking it rather than blacklisting it.

Instead of leaving dislikes on this type of content, people can just take a few minutes of time to distinguish the kinks that are causing their distress, blacklist it, and then never have to deal with it again on this website.

  • lol if you think every single dislike is because people don't use their blacklist, you're wrong

It's such a cop-out: "the only reason this is getting downvotes is because nobody blacklists"

  • People have a right to downvote and to (politely) say they don't like something. If they aren't, then what's the point of having the ability to give comments and votes?

This isn't a hugbox, I'm not going to stop getting art and posting it here because people downvote my violent, disgusting and divisive kinks. I'd rather people had discussions about stuff but you can only expect so much from a niche porn site on the internet.

My only real concern is people genuinely having this slip through their blacklists and the art ruining their day/their fap sesh, that just wouldn't be fair.

That's my two cents about this anyway.

I do appreciate your honesty about this whole thing and I agree. The up and downvotes are just an indicator if most people like it or not. It doesn't necessarily mean that a piece of art is bad in all regards and that you aren't allowed to like it, because after all, art is always subjective. I personally find the downvotes to be a good indicator though, since I am not always logged in and I personally dislike blacklists. The downvotes (on this site at least) are usually a sign for me that says: watch out, you might not like this at all. It is very helpful and I think it's always good to let people show their opinion.

  • Pitching in my two cents as well, I guess.
Upvoting or downvoting on this site should be based on the quality of the art itself, not the kinks it contains. If you don't like a kink, realize you don't and blacklist it. If you don't like the art itself, downvote it. The amount of downvotes seen on the more kinky art, even the stuff that hasn't been made in MS paint, is astoundingly downvoted to hell and back. This just makes it harder to find actual art that *I* like that's also high quality.

  • "Always thought it was odd this sites general users have such an issue with this sort of art."

This could be paraphrased as: I find it odd that people have an issue with depictions of someone slowly drowning to death in urine as their sexual organs are electrified to the point of melting off.

I'm not sure how you wouldn't have an issue with that unless you're a psychopath.

Also "If you have a genuine dislike, then blacklist it" - this requires users having to go through the effort of signing up to the site and logging in all the time just to blacklist things. If they're going to go through all that, then don't be surprised when they also downvote things that disgust them.

I don't understand how this makes it harder to find art that you like, could you explain? Do you search for art based on the amount of likes it has?

It's a really good way of getting to the cream of the crop. Or it would be, if people did vote based on quality. That is the issue here. There is no "well drawn" tag, or "knows something about anatomy" tag. That's what the score system is for. But as usual quite a lot of things I like have scores around 1 or 3. And then on the other end I'll see a decent animation with 300 or so. The disparity is insane, and people aren't voting correctly.

Voting is like adding a tag to an image. a tag that says if it's poorly drawn or not. This 4 part image series is unquestionably being downvoted wrongly. Voting is not an opinion, just like tags are not an opinion. If you have an opinion, make a comment.
