"Things definitely slowed down after we stopped the Anglars. Seems it was just the motivation we needed to get the team back together. Well, almost. Peppy was definitely a no-go, with him taking Pepper's old gig, so we needed someone who could coordinate our operations from the Great Fox. Originally it was gonna be Lucy, but I could tell she was destined to be a fighter. She's already almost as good as Falco.
I was honestly surprised when Krystal volunteered, but I'm glad she did. Her telepathic abilities are faster than any commlink, and more importantly, can't be jammed.
Once she was back on board, it became obvious real quick that Krystal intended to make up for lost time. To be honest, I don't know why I didn't marry her sooner.
And then, that one day.... Man, I'll always remember that day. We'd just smashed a pirate operation on Fortuna, and Falco was breaking out that old Cornerian whiskey as a celebration. At first, I couldn't figure out why Krystal turned it down; she can actually hold her drink better than any of us. But man, I just about punched a hole in the floor with my own jaw when she told me the news....
Her last doctor's appointment was yesterday, and they're saying it's gonna be a boy!
Krystal and I were initially gonna name him after you, but then I remembered what you originally wanted to call me. So, here we are. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of one Marcus McCloud.
