Actually it just says they are running some tests.

That said, the community is a pretty nice place as a whole. I just kinda wish I could find out where Susie lives...

Isn't it, though? I mean, it only adds to the confusion and everything, all the small details and such, but it's a kind place.
And I mean, unless she lives with Bratty, the only other reptile household in town, I think she might be a runaway. She eats the chalk from school and seems to seek food, I hope it's not too unhappy when we learn more.

The concept is that you're experiencing Kris' story. The most important parts are where Kris takes control out of your hands and performs an action on his own. That is why it's clear that Kris cares so much for Susie; HE is the one who jumped in the way of the attack from the Spade king to defend her, HE is the one who told Toriel that he was with his new friend, of which he clearly had none until today.

What we should hope is that Kris has a positive future and that he will make events transpire that help move his town in a positive direction.

Because, until he met Susie, he didn't have a reason to. Asriel stole the spotlight, stole the fame, stole everything, even if he didn't mean to.

Multiple people within Deltarune refer to Kris with "they" - Noelle, who's known Kris for a long time refers to them with "they" which means that must be what they go by, right?

Unless I'm wrong, which is a pretty damn good possibility
