Description

There is a small rock formation somewhere at an ocean where a parasite can be found. Many dislike it, some like it. Like it because it produces a substance which makes its host relaxed, it is simply a drug which cause delirium for a few hours.
Usually it will try to find any host with openings on the body to feed on body fluids but wont kill the host in the process.
The substance is also able to dissolve great amount of oxygen from the air, so it is used to make the air breathable for creatures with gills for a quiet long time.

    Wouldn't that be the equivalent of getting your lungs fucked? Or is it more like deepthroating but it goes down your air pipe instead of your esophagus?

    Yeah, but lungs work with gases not liquids, plus they are a dead end, so cleaning gills is mutch easier.
