  • Why is Obelisk The tormentor in there...ah its not ALL dragons and legends on pokemon either, never mind. Took a bit of searching in all this!

  • Not to be hateful and let pokemon fans down but when you put size comparisons with pokemon and yu-gi-oh....Yu-gi-oh wins why you ask? Cause for example if you compare rayquaza to Oh say slypher the sky dragon (correct my spelling for the monster If you must) slypher can easily destroy rayquaza with a simple flick, breath or stomp rayquaza would be down for the count and alegend be dead and a egyptian god still a god.

but if you put them up against say i don't know maybe even mew it would be DOI plus if you take jiragi, rayquaza, mewtwo, and arceous together not even nami's big 5 sep card monster (forgot the name of it) could beat them

Your also forgetting that yu-gi-oh monsters have no sense of allying with each other... Pokemon work together, and you forget that there is a pokemon called a ditto, you know what he does? yeah... Yu-gi-oh looses

Yeah, a few things. First of all, you have clearly never seen the Waking the Dragons arc then. They can ally with each other even better than pokemon can, and ditto? Screw him. First of all, he only gets a TINY fraction of the enemy's power, and not to mention it's not even in the image!

Unless you're holding like, one card.

your obviously not a Yu-Gi-Oh fan or you'd know that would only make them stronger the cards are the only thing containing them. the ancient Egyptians summoned monsters from another dimension but couldn't control them so they sealed them in cards i.e. destroy the card, release the monster.

  • Pokemon wins, just cause it's still as big and popular and best-selling as it was 16 years ago.

LOL I just love how you think you know me. I have been a Yu-Gi_Oh fan when it first came out. My first ever card was Harpy's Brother. Good times <3

  • Honestly of who would win would depend on the trainer/duelist. Think it'd be an interesting match with Exodia vs. Arceus.

    Pokemon soooooooooooo wins

Your mixing me right... hate to break it to you but almost ALL of the pokemon dragons are not even 1/5 the size of the yugioh dragons. As much as I love both yugioh and pokemon yugioh definitely wins... bad ass pick though

  • these people saying pokemon wins, what the fuck, how can a mere selection of lets say 26 almost godly pokemon can stand tothe might of exodia, yep i just ended this debate with just one name, exodia, exodia, exodia, everyone remember right? if you put together the 5 pieces you win the match automatically and he aint the only one, there other dragons, monsters and beast that can destroy legionds, i am sorry but there are too many monster in yugioh, so yeah take your pride elsewhere pokemon fans because logic just slapped sense in you.

  • So in numbers, Yu-Gi-Oh wins. Now if we are looking at power, it is a bit more complicated. The 52~ legendaries of pokemon are strong, but Yu-Gi-Oh has more than that. Sadly, most of them required other cards to work, unlike Pokemon. Then again, if you get all 3 God cards out, then you can summon Horahkaty (probably misspelled) and win, as he is the god of light and is a instant win.

  • I just gonna stop this now by saying there really is no way to tell. I could just as easily say that the attack of kuriboh is higher than the average hp of most pokemon at lvl 100 as I could say all shedinja has to do is turn his back to kill every living yu-gi-oh monster Unless you establish some kind of definitive way to measure the exchange rate of yu-gi-oh card att and def to pokemon stats or create some form of rules of combat as well as a way to govern the use of special abilities and card abilites then this really isn't a conversation worth having other than for shits and giggles.

  • I Play alot of Yu-Gi-Oh and (used to) Play Pokémon as well. Firstly: yugioh has a massive davantage in both size and strength. Secondly: There are alot of yugioh cards That allow you to RESURRECT your cards. Thirdly: Even some of the weakest yugioh cards are severall times as powerfull as Gyarydos. And lastlly: In yugioh instead of those stupid trainer cards, there's some serioisly overkill spell and trap cards. Imagine this: It's 2 mews and 2 gyarydos against 1 winged kuriboh. You attack the winged kuriboh. The yougioh Player activates Mirror force. All your Pokémon drop dead. P.S. I have 4 of Blue eyes white dragon.:D If anybody still has a valid argument in favor of Pokémon, than go est some Exodia!

No, because Yu-Gi-Oh monsters are just holograms.

Actually no Yu-Gi-Oh monsters are real monsters summoned from another realm and trapped within cards which are then virtually represented with holograms instead of magic power which the pharaohs used to temporarily release said monsters during duels in the past.

I suppose so. I'd assumed that this battle would be using the virtual representations used in duels rather than the actual monsters, but it could also be with the real ones.

I know I'm replying to a 3-year old comment, but Yu-Gi-Oh would win. Don't forget that in 'Pyramid of Light,' the Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon has the shining nova ability that allows her to destroy anything and everything if she wants to. Plus sacrificing two of the God cards gives the third infinite strength.

I don't think I need to give any more reasons.

I know this comment is six years old, but this isn't accurate if you know the truth about the show. Only the representations of them in the card game are holograms. The actual monsters however, are very much the real, living, breathing thing. The last season, as well as the movie Pyramid of Light, confirm this.

    I already told him this.

Lets say this art takes place during the Seal of orcicalcos arc given the use of the three legendary dragons. within this arc all the cards became real monsters example kaiba using a real blue eyes to take out monsters. this would mean that all of them have psychical bodies and their powers. cards such as obliesk can have infinite attack power which will easily kill all pokemon given he has infinite power.
