News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

    I know but the mods are within reason to change the tag since it's kind of hard to differentiate between an intersex/andromorphic character and a flat chested female unless otherwise stated. Of course you could use your prior knowledge to tag sexes but it's more of a tag what you see and only that sorta situation here.

    Funny fact, even if in the picture or comic page they state their gender, the ambiguous tag must be used. There was a pokemon comic that kept being edited by the mods because paraphrasing "it doesn't matter if a character says they are male or female. all it matters is how they look".

    Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Having a vagina doesn't unconditionally make a character's tag be female. They could be tagged as an intersex/andromorph still if they have a flat chest. I guess in order to be completely certain that a mature character is female, they gotta have a noticeable bust as well.

    From the wiki: “If a character only has apparent female genitalia or otherwise exclusively female physical traits that are in some way visible, or traits befitting of its species” Mod is clearly wrong in this case. This is not TWYS, because when you see is female. Otherwise we’d have to tag every flat chested female ambiguous, including 90% of all other Grape images
