Look a new dragon from my lore which was born out of boredom XD One day during a sketch session I randomly drew some headshot and a friend of mine said: "This dragon gives me some pharao vibes". Well this gave me the idea for this little guy here :D Spend 2 Art Streams finishing this golden beast. okay now to his Ecology: The Desert King is a halfdragon species that has evolved to live in the sand covered Khali desert. Those dragons stand 2.5 meters in shoulderheight and are in posession of sublime affinity for earth magic. With that, they can control the sand arround them to the level of creating deadly sandstorms. Being Apex-predators, Desert Kings barely have any natural enemies that could harm them. The only known predator to fight against and kill one of them is the Desert Titan, an equally strong Leviathan dwelling the deadly sands. The diet of the Desert King contains out of bigger animals such as camels, sand hydras and other dragons and wyrm. Smaller creatures, especially the Sand-Mantas, are often found in huge numbers in Desert King´s territories, as they know that most of their predators try to stay away from the dragon. The King seems to aknowledge this, sometimes even defending the small animals from bigger ones. The habitants of the desert, such as the nomadic people or the lizard tribes, also tend to live close to Desert King territories. The powerful dragon acepts this, as long as noone threads him or invades during mating and breeding season. It´s magical abilities, the mighty appearance and the ignorance to anything much smaller than itself, made alot of natives worshiping the Desert King as some kind of demi-God or desert guardian. Many cultures worship this beast and even giving sacrifices to it and telling legends about its powers. Death masks from rulers of the ancient civilisation Vananta even share the same colors, details and markings as the desert King´s topknot.
