    I've been looking forward to this moment since forever, but now that it's happening, I don't know. it just doesn't seem right. Fen's like, what, half miss's age? younger? I know it shouldn't matter because they're all consenting adults. Maybe I'm just looking for problems because I'm drunk (peppermint schnapps are dangerous, btw)

    To elaborate on this a little bit; The average lifespan of most species in this world is 40 Farelliar years, and a Farelliar year is about half the length of an earth year.

    - Age of maturity is 10 Farelliar years, because people grow faster and mature faster, making 10 equal to about 18-20 earth years.
    - Vix is 12, Fen is 23, Mis'Alia is 302.
    - Draako (Mis'Alia's species) live to around 500.
    - People's prime lasts longer, most people are fully healthy and spry until about the last five years of their lives, before suffering a rapid decline from there.

    The morality of sex is completely different on Farelliar compared to Earth. Because Farelliar isn't Earth. As an example, prostitute is a completely normal and natural job to have, and are often treated as their home village's therapist, because sex, closeness and caring is good for a lot of things.

    Additionally, because life is so much shorter, there's a lot less time for people to worry about things like sleeping around, regardless of whether they have mates or not. Some people dedicate themselves entirely to each other, but the norm is that sex is just sex, and a jealous partner is rare. Hence why Alf and Baelin didn't really work out, they failed to communicate on this subject.

    But yeah, TLDR; Age differences are completely irrelevant on Farelliar.
