Even though lions aren't native to India I always imagined that Keyna had an Indian or maybe even Thai flavor to her, instead of the obvious African heritage that would be natural for a lioness. Maybe one of her parents is Indian/from that area of the Waystone Universe that's inspired by India (Mitanni)?
