April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberVery nice to see a new Electrycpynk with her self-named character. Pynk might've just grown tired of drawing her, but still, any more of this character is always welcome.
DjLumi
MemberGuess this is the last of Electrycpynk's art..? She was the greatness artist to ever walk across FA and e621, if you're reading this Electrycpynk, we hope you're safe and well. Hope to see you again someday

MemberIt doesn't make sense since Electrycpynk just fucking tweeted out ":)" and wrote just "I'm stop making arts" for the take down requests on e621. if pynk was tired of porn they would've done something what meru did and just not post and leave everything up, or even just make a safe account and make cute art.

MemberOh man, what a disappointment. I really loved Electrycpynk's art style. It was really adorable stuff.

MemberSame... I was a big fan of her work. Fortunately, I still have all of the gray bunny arts. I consider that bunny my most important thing on the internet now.

MemberI was wondering what happened to all the art here, and I just saw this comment and now I know.
Some (too many) artists want to burn everything down then salt the Earth when they stop doing art. It often seems like ego ("If I'm not doing art anymore, no one will have any if it!") Sometimes they want to purge a specific category of art (like porn) because they're being harassed or they simply don't want to be known for that art anymore.
Either way, it's always sad when an artist (especially a good one) decides to file a takedown and a DNP.

MemberI hate that too, like don't be a shame of what you drew before going safe for some reason. I can understand (to an extent) not wanting to do nsfw anymore, as sad as it is, but don't delete it all cause you feel like being known for it hurts some invisible street cred! Or in a case like Blitzdrachin, delete it all and make it only available on patreon for the highest tier, $25. Because if you're someone like me, it makes others believe that doing nsfw art is like some sin or bad omen, and that we're the bad guys of the fandom, Even though I do both sfw and nsfw (occasionally). And I've seen a lot of artists lately switch to only sfw. I see people quit, and sometimes I think, "is making nsfw, really this bad...?", "Does it really hender you from doing anything else...?".

MemberIn these dark times where political correctness is the law (from Sauron), all it takes is for a specific (or protected) demographic to dislike you, and your career will be permanently stained.
Some people don't like the idea that the artist has drawn nsfw in the past (and even more so if your new job is as an artist of children's images/cartoons, or has something to do with old school conservatives)
He could have simply omitted that he was an NSFW artist, or my recommendation, NEVER give traces of traceability to your real person (Separate your real self from your artist self NSFW). In case one day you have to get a "pure" job, they can't assign you dirty works.
