Description
While Haloren's territory, shared with his sister Nilghais, may be a large forest, there's surprisingly few times where he's encountered another felkin. In part because of the territorial aggressiveness his sister displays towards outsiders, and also because of the remote nature of their forest. Sure, he still makes plenty of other acquaintances and friends, but... a male felk obviously has desires for a counterpart of their own species now and again!
Likely why the surprise arrival of Beltaine, no doubt with the rest of Bruve's merry band, resulted in a quick investigation and introduction by the blue felk. And given she hadn't seen a male felkin in quite some time, well...
