April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.

We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

MemberYes, when they are alone, they're called lekgolo, but when together they're called mgalekgolo/Hunter. Lekgolo will occasionally become a mgalekgolo, and when there's too much worms in a mgalekgolo, they split into two smaller mgalekgolo and become bond siblings, that's why in halo you commonly see two hunters together rather than fighting one, there are some missions in halo that you fight one or three but more than likely you'll fight two

MemberI have questions
1: does that means thats the worms of a mgalekgolo reproduces between themselves to do that or do the worms just become longer and split into two?
2: when a mgalekgolo split into two mgalekgolo, does the armor they have split in two with the worms? Or they need to go get a new armor for them?
And 3: do they need the armor to keep that bipedal appearence or they can take it off without falling appart into a bunch of worm?
ZombieGrief16
MemberI only know the answer to the third question. No, there is one instance that I know of in an official animated short, the elites are looking for more aliens to join the covenant when they come across the lekgolo home world (actually might have been a halo ring, since the lekgolo are found in a forerunner looking room, and I don't think lekgolo can build architecture) and walk into a room with lekgolo covering the whole floor. The floor of lekgolo then form into a couple of mgalekgolo thinking the elites are threats. So no, they don't need the armor
I can attempt to answer the other two but take it with a grain of salt.
1: they likely do reproduce among themselves, since each mgalekgolo is considered a colony. Just imagine an entire ant colony forms to make a person. That's each Mgalekgolo.
2. As far as I know, we've never seen a hunter split, but I don't think the armor splits evenly between. If I had to guess, Im sure the mgalekgolo can't split while wearing the armor, so the armor must be removed first, then they'll likely just get another pair of armor for the bond sibling.
