Test doodle done on a new tablet!

I wanted to get a setup going for entertaining myself during power outages. Over the last few years, power outages, while not super frequent, have been getting strangely long. We've only had maybe four or five power outages over the last three years, but almost every single time is was three days and up. This is a very long time to be sitting around with absolutely nothing to do, so I knew I wanted some sort of battery operated computing device to pass the time during these outages. I also know one of the ways I like to pass time is by doodling stuff, so I figured I might as well make it a tablet type computer so I can draw on it.

I thought about pulling the trigger on a nice tablet for a long time, but it was always sort of an "Eh, I'll get around to it someday" situation. But now that the plague is upon is, my usual strategy for dealing with power outages- going over to hang out with the folks and chat the days away- is kind of a no-go. Odds are good the power will go out at some point before the plague is over, so it seemed like a good time to start getting a power-outage-entertainment setup going.

This is my test of said tablet! Seems like it will be quite suitable for doodling on to pass the time. Battery life is a bit on the short side, I'll need some battery banks around if I want to make it through even one full day of doodling, much less multiple, but it's a start.

As for the sketch itself, just Syandene being Syandene. She seems to be my go-to when I want to draw but don't have anything particular in mind. I did mess around with my drawing style a little though, experimenting with a very slightly toonier style. Mostly just a larger head/body ratio, but some other subtle things as well. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts. I also played with Sy's hair style a lil'. I've been seeing that half-shaved look around a bit lately and it's kinda starting to grow on me, and it seemed like the sort of thing she'd experiment with. Not really a permanent character change or anything, just a bit of fun!
