News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.

Jan 7th: Small update to the Uploading Guidelines today: We now no longer allow paintovers of AI generated content. Or in other words AI generated content that has been edited to some degree by humans.

    That's true, but I think I understand where they're coming from.

    Generally, if you have intersex characteristics, the way a lot of people talk about it on this site can be pretty offensive, you wouldn't refer to someone as a cuntboy or dickgirl in real life, unless that someone specifically asks for it.

    I have breasts, and I have a dick, but I prefer being referred to as a male to female trans girl. I would feel pretty obectified to be labelled simply by what I have instead of by my gender. Calling me a dickgirl can be a little hurtful.

    Not to discount your experience or disagree with you, I'm just throwing in my thoughts. Personally as a trans woman, being called a "dickgirl" before I started hrt would have made me uncomfortable but now that I've been on em for a while, it doesn't personally bother me as much? To be honest, it just makes me happy that some people find us attractive.

    For those who aren't trans, having said parts makes us really uncomfortable with our bodies so explicitly pointing said parts out as part of our identity is kind of like calling an amputee "legless fred", if that makes sense. We're generally well aware no harm is meant by the word itself in a porn site context, but just be aware of the effect it can have on those of us who are still having a hard time figuring themselves out.
