Description
I was thinking about my friend who is addicted to porn. You need to learn to control how much porn you consume. You abuse your dopamine centers when you constantly look at porn, every day, jerking it often. Porn addiction is a real thing and it will make you dependent on the furry fandom for continued pleasure. That sounds like a joke, but it is not. Please be cognizant.
I could make an entire side story on Mindes getting addicted to porn because he doesn't get enough stimulation in the outside world and thus watching more and more extreme porn until having a normal relationship no longer seems like a feasible thing for his sexual urges.

MemberI'm legit faving this for the educational description.
I also found if you can give yourself an outlet or minor thing you do every day that makes you feel at peace (not necessarily the same kind of happiness getting off is) that can do wonders.
For me it's a french press

MemberI can't say I fully relate to this, but it is definitely close.
To me, it was more in the start, finding out that pornographic content of this kind existed. With time I realized that I had a preference for this type of content and much like with music, you might find one song from an artist that you like, but listening to the rest of their discography, no other song really gives the same feeling.
Sometimes, it even turns out that the one song you liked was a one-off thing and so you're left trying to find more of the specific feel that one song gave you. The more you look, the more you realize how rare that exact feel is and so all the pieces outside what you look for become a nuisance.
It's not so much that the other stuff is boring. Some illustrations are extremely well-drawn and still kinda "hot", but it's not the "hot" I'm looking for, which is why the other stuff becomes meh.

Member...Maybe I should blacklist some of the more extreme stuff for a while.

MemberI think I went to this cycle, and then my tastes matured back to more regular things. I think the most weird thing I can say I'm into is impregnation, and even some things I shamefully find hot I'm not really *into*. Usually just better art than the rest :/

Memberi can't relate to that at all.
maybe i just don't have an "addictive" personality, but even though i've watched porn since quite an early age, and that to this day i'm glancing at it basically every day, this "hardcore" or "fetishy" stuff was never of interest to me.

MemberThis kind of not frequently told advises (to not say never..), are invaluable, thank you grimart for your selflessly helpfullness, thanks for thinking in the health of randoms on the internet. This should be appreciated by everyone that toke a minute to read it.
In an infinite daily influx of NSFW content all of us are subject to suffer this, and hear it could happen matters.

MemberObviously, this only happens because furry porn is objectively better than sex.

MemberFor me it came back around where i look at extreme furry porn so often that i can only mostly get off to relatively vanilla irl porn, and now i look at e6 to merely appreciate how incredibly hot some art is if i weren't desensitized to it. There is just so much great stuff created everyday

MemberCurrently dealing with porn addiction, this is a great post. I compulsively save every pic/vid I like and it takes up so much space

MemberI hate being reminded how much I screwed up my life because of porn. It's worse because of how old I was when I found it, I didn't know what it was at the time, all I knew was that it was interesting. Sometime later it became an addition, between 2-6 time a day. On a bad day, gotta keep busy I found. On a good day? Up to 8 times.
BastionAalok
MemberIt's not that weird, it's actually common in real life.

MemberThe scary thing about fandoms that lie beyond the edge of normal social acceptability is that when most average people consider anyone with any sort of proximity to the fandom as having a 'problem', it becomes more difficult to tell when someone crosses a line into actually having a problem.
It's an uncomfortable question to ponder, but even if you have a healthy relationship with the fandom it is still worth processing and keeping this kind of information in your mind. Not necessarily for your own sake, but for others in the fandom who might not process the content in a balanced way.

MemberSomething even worse is when you can't even get turned up by any porn
CamKitty
MemberMeh, pretending porn is special in the fandom is weird to me. Art is so common that pretending it's all for getting off just seems weird. Most I know look at art as just something to do, nothing more. SO there is no getting "tired" of what one likes, at least from what i have seen
