He said on Patreon he doesn’t want his art to stick with him in ways he didn’t intend. Which I’m guessing means he doesn’t want to get canceled over it years from now when he’s moved on to other things, and considering the state of the internet these past few years I don’t blame him. Just another example of woke purist trolls ruining the internet, I just hope another animator as talented as them will arrive on the scene soon and fill the gaping hole their short but insanely high quality career leaves behind (and on an optimistic note, knowing the internet it’s only a matter of time).

I don’t think it’s anything he did, some artists just aren’t comfortable drawing lewd pictures for a public audience that may include a few toxic creeps (some of the artists I watch are unfortunately dealing with that issue). There’s also another reason he’s stepping away from nsfw art he mentioned on his discord but I won’t post here because I feel it’s a bit to personal, I will say it’s got nothing to do with anything he did.

Taga is still working on his Regular Show animation but has been completing it at a slower pace as he’s become increasingly uncomfortable creating nsfw art.

Correct. The reason isn’t anything controversial at all, but it is personal and I think it’d be fair for him to publicly use his own words to address this whenever he is comfortable to do so.
I feel like he would likely explain after completing the and publicly releasing the animation.

Not finishing commissions/art people paid for is kind of morally dark grey/theft. How can people trust the artist ever again if they just drop there commissions at the drop of a hat?

Not only that I had to pay money just to see the post of him saying he wasn't going to finish the thing I originally was paying/supporting him for, kinda feels like a punch to the gut.

I'm sure Taga's decision to stop updating the animation was a hard one, because they knew a lot of people would be disappointed. I do think we should go easy on them, because it is not easy to deliver such high quality content especially when you lose motivation for such a big project. Taga also loses a lot because they have already invested a lot of time and effort into animating half of the animation.

Yes everyone knows when you stop a project (that other people paid for you to have done) halfway cause you don't feel like it anymore. It's not your responsibility to make sure everyone who supported you and was expecting a complete product is refunded. This would be the equivalent of a landscaper deciding to stop working halfway through there job and running with the money because they "felt" like they now want to do interior design!

Hello everyone! I hope you’ve been well.

As you know, I’ve been pausing all monthly payments for a majority of the year when content was not posted, and I’ve tried for a long time to get this project done, but over time I have grown much more uncomfortable and anxious around producing and being involved with NSFW content. I initially planned to move onto SFW after it being completed, but sadly, I just don’t see it realistically being done in a healthy way despite all my attempts. I’m incredibly grateful for the support you have shown me to this point, and am very sorry for those who were excited to see the project in its completion. Enough time has gone by that I think it’s best to move on, as painful of a decision it was.

I have decided to post the completed/semi completed segments of the animation both publicly on twitter and here, while uploading the remaining WIPS for just patrons. I am also uploading random sketches/ rough animations that I initially never planned on showing anyone just for patrons, as a thank you for sticking with me. These are all in the mega link below.

For anyone who is interested in following my future work, I am going to be creating animations for YouTube and twitter immediately following this message, and have some fun projects I’m very excited to upload. I would love for those interested to join me on my new twitter, as well as discord, where I will actually be active and post WIPS/behind the scenes content of what I’m currently working on! I also will do a much better job at being involved with the community as I am here, for reasons already mentioned.

(Just a heads up - While I do understand I can’t hide the connection between my SFW and NSFW identities, please refrain from mentioning “Taga” or my old work in SFW/Public spaces, as they are going to be open to all ages and I don’t want young audiences or unsuspecting people falling into that rabbit hole.)

While I partly agree, his mental health and well being as on the line. Any mature person would understand that not probably not be too upset. To clarify, I'm not calling you immature.

Better save whatever bits of his art you can. He closed his FA gallery, and seems like most of his art on here was nuked.

IMO, it's very frustrating when these artists who decide to leave the community also decide to take all their artwork with them. Shutting down their accounts, or purging their work from the internet.

Like, if you don't want to make anymore art, that's fine. But why do you have to erase any trace of your previous work having existed?
