April 10th: The bill has been vetoed!
April 2nd: The politicians in Arizona are about to sign into law a bill that would mandate sites like e621 to either impose age verification on all users or be at a risk of lawsuits. Such system would be required to go through third party vendors, who in turn must go through a government database to verify every user's age. This is not only a major violation of privacy, but it also opens up a very real danger of identity theft through phishing schemes and other methods, not to mention that we would not be able to control any of that information to make sure it is permanently deleted after age verification is complete.
Unfortunately, Arizona is the state out of which e621 operates, which means that this law will almost certainly affect us if it is to pass. If want to help us ensure that this site can continue to serve you without being required to know who you are, please ask the Arizona governor to veto this bill.
Please, help us get the word out by letting others know about this issue.
For some further information on what the bill does have a look at https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2586/
We still have a Discord server, come talk to us!

Member... I specifically blacklisted dying and corpse for example. Now I had to see this because there are tags missing. Whyyyy

MemberAm not an artist really, so maybe drawing circles at the joints to help figure out where they should bend in an animation seems more clever to me than it really is.

MemberI started to tag it, but someone else beat me to it. Artist is DNP so it'll be gone soon anyway.
Edit: or maybe not. Also why are you downvoting?

MemberThere is a source leading to a FA, and artist is not DNP

MemberHang on, the thumbnail CLEARLY shows it's someone getting hanged.
Wasn't that visible to you? ;^^

MemberSometimes, people really enjoy a bad situation turning out good. Similar to vore and guro, the victim surviving can make a world of a difference to some people. The traffic it gets is also higher the moment it's posted, which can make the first tags rather important.
If an animation pops up without some of the key tags, it can catch a few people by thinking it doesn't end in death/doesn't have death, and maybe the character is saved. This is a super polar opposite and is bound to make a few of the newer people (doesn't really have to be new people, sometimes people don't know a tag until they stumble upon it) who are indeed using the blacklist but don't know things like "snuff" exist, which would have blocked this entry from the get go, but you could argue snuff is not a proper tag for this post, death is (since I see nothing sexualized about this situation). Which can make things confusing.
I'd suggest him to add snuff, but I reckon this kind of stuff will always have someone say something about it either 'cuz they feel like it or are simply new and while trying to be proactive with the blacklisting, either a picture will miss a tag (doesn't even have to be a mistake, uploader added snuff, you'd think that's enough, but "death" is a similar, yet different beast and "dying" is another mess of a tag too) or someone didn't know about all the tags needed (I feel like you need a PhD in tagging nowdays).
I think his reaction is fine to be honest. I know people don't like it when someone expresses any sort of negativity but this is sorta of a more normal one. I think artists are gonna have a bad time trying to properly tag these things in the future due to the tag what you see deal. Think it'd be better to just answer the question.

JanitorSo once again adults coming to adult website which is known to host adult subject matters, abusing the flagging system because they can't stand those adult subject matters.
This is also partially why I try to hammer that this isn't a pornsite, because if you come in here with assumption that all there is is porn, you will get into situations like this.
Flagger reported to admins.
Once again, I do not like wasting my time checking trough avoid posting lists when it takes more time compared to you just fixing the tags of the posts and/or adding tags to your blacklist.
Thumbnails on this site are 150px in dimensions max.
On my 27" 1440p monitor, that's physically 3cm in size watched from 60cm away, it becomes extremely hard to tell what is going on. You can't tell if it's just a character standing, dancing on stipper pole or being hanged from that.
So yeah, also reminder for anyone posting contentious content like My Little Pony, remember to tag your posts with more care or you will get angry and annoyed users who just want to leave you be to begin with.

MemberWow. Does this impressive animation imply death? Better downvote.

MemberThis 100% I've seen a lot of images that I've just not wanted to see, some I just didn't even KNOW I had blacklisted because they were there for so long on the list. I'll tag things if I see it, but it's kinda hard to do when I can't stand the subject matter.

MemberHonestly feels kind of messed up that you can get a record for the "blacklist" by just being upset that the blacklist you're actually using didn't work. You're just damned either way it seems.

MemberOkay, my bad. I may have been looking at something else.
