There's not much below this point other than a bit of griping about my painting habits, so if you're not into that, probably best you don't read on. :P
Gotta be honest, I kinda gave up on this one about half way through. It wasn't going well, and I could tell it wasn't going well, and there wasn't a lot I could do to help it at that point, so I basically just finshed it up and called it a day.
I'm posting it anyway because it's not like it's awful. It's at least presentable, if nothing special. The brown skunk lady thing didn't come out too terribly either, even though I forgot I should be painting her fur to look more wet until after most of it was done, heh.
But it's time for me to really stop messing around and figure out what I'm doing. I still have no idea what I'm doing when I paint- I pretty much make it up as I go along from picture to picture. This is why some have come out fantastically and some have been real crap, and it's most noticable with backgrounds. I don't have any solid foundation to base my work on, so they often tend to fall apart.
I think I might have to disappear for a little while and just make my next several pictures study work until I have some solid basis to work from. I have a bad habit of jumping enthusiastically into practice and then stopping a day or two later and going back to old habits, but I'm going to try and avoid that. I've really gotta sort this out, heh.
But for now! Here's a thing. It's not the greatest, but hopefully it'll tide you over until I put my next picture up. If I'm doing my job correctly, that might not be for a little while! Though perhaps a doodle here and there, we'll see. Anyway, enjoy.
