I love this. The original Sonic games were some of my favorite games when I was a kid. I still have Sonic 1, 2, 3, and Sonic and Knuckles for the Genesis. XD

know what I remember? the sonic and knuckles genesis cartridge being able to combine with the sonic 2 cartridge... AND PLAYING AS KNUCKLES ON SONIC 2!!! that was epic back then

and Big Macintosh would make the perfect Knuckles ;-)

That makes the chaos emeralds the opposite of the elements of harmony. Which gives discord an agenda. That actually is a great beginning of a crossover. Sonic is 20% cooler already!
