Most likely just deactivated it, it's not the first time. I'm sure he has his own reasons.

I started Twitter again.
I can't tell anyone why I keep quitting

However, I have achieved my goal, so I think it will continue.

I suppose this would be understandable if this was a once-in-a-while thing, I mean, that kind of stuff happens all the time, accounts get suspended, artists move on, but this artist has been behaving very strangely in regards to his online presence and I'm not entirely sure why.

From what I've seen, he's been through at least 9 different Twitter accounts and at least 3 e621 accounts (yes, I counted) in the last year alone and he keeps deleting and switching between them. If you look through the tag history of some of the uploader's earlier posts you can see evidence of this. Regarding one of the previous twitter accounts, blackbird_1515, someone on a post here said that the artist deleted their account because of the stress of being an artist, but given the strange patterns, either that is no longer the case or it was never even the case to begin with (Keep in mind, carnivorous_owl's account was deleted on 2021/05/17, it's only 2021/05/21 now and they are already posting again). Not only that, but it makes it infuriating to find all the posts the artist has done because he creates a different e621 tag for each new Twitter account he makes. I'm seriously considering opening a giant alias request to remedy this lol

Maybe I'm just being insensitive, but I just don't understand why anyone would do this as opposed to just, I dunno, say that they're taking a break from art for a while (or not posting altogether) or something like that without having to send their followers on a wild goose chase in the process?

That someone is me, as I found about it on his pixiv. The artist knows it's frustrating for everyone to follow his accounts only to be closed shortly after. I totally understand your concern, but like I said, it's probably a personal matter.

I suppose I can't really argue with the personal life of an artist after all, but still, I have been lurking on e621 for three years, I've come across hundreds if not thousands of artists on this site, and I've never seen anything like this on here before.

He has almost 100 posts across all of their tags, but it's spread across 19 tags (I found 10 more since my last comment). I really want to open a BUR alias request for this, but I'm not certain how the artist would react to it, he does have accounts here after all.

I gave up my dream as an illustrator because I caused trouble. I'm sorry for everything. I will not post illustrations anymore

I agree with sythever. You are a really talented artist and your art is really good, that is a fact. We were just worried about you, that is all.
