"Ekatrina Ricci (nee Casonia), a matronly soccer mom by day but at night she slips out of the house and becomes The Artificer. Someone has to pay for college. And the kid's braces. And then there's the mortgage. The Artificer's villainous career began in in the 80s but she dropped out of sight after a few years. Married. Kids. But money. Always, the money. And she was so bored. Technomagic and misdirection keep an old girl out of trouble but that need for speed keeps getting her back into it.
