This is a well drawn story with interesting characters in a SF setting that obviously has some thought put into it. Just because it depicts sex doesn't mean it deserves to be dismissed as just smut. I will not apologize for taking it seriously, as I think it deserves it.

Since she's 14, it must be the same MIDDLE school.

They can't be more than 1 year apart in age, maybe 2 if this culture uses Japan style school divisions.

I believe that this comic is using the anthro=human rule when it comes to years, it is usually the case when anhros and humans are set in the same world.
