News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

  • I usually stay away from this kinda thing. Don't like talking about it,

    BUT

These "fans" of his are pretty young and impressionable.
There's a reason WHY he's male. He's a NidoKING not a NidoQUEEN, separate genders from all the way back when he was a Nidoran(♂) to where his spikes are more jagged than his female counterpart and has sharper claws.

    Ugh, long obvious fact short.
Seems like his fans have their own problems to sort out, rather than worrying about his.

  • First I thought it was odd that the most biphobic people I met were gay men and trans women, but then I realized they were being that emotionally connected to their identity because they were attacked their whole lives and I could pass. They yearned for me to validate their worldview and deny mine.

That's a healthy realization for you. But how is it connected to the comic?

I mean. . . it's not like it's any more politically based that this page.

Also: "If Tini wants to be a girl-"

Sorr, but the Guy literally works a job where he wrestle opponents into submission and then shoves his male appendage up their sphincter, while they all watch in glee. Why would anyone come to any conclusion he secretly harbours female gender identity issues.

They're attacking the Zoroark when all he said was reasonable statements. These Pokemon are not very nice people.

  • I feel like there's a lot of conflation going on here. A few topicality similar ideas being simplified beyond usefulness and juggled. Tini may find some clarity by exploring each in turn; what he enjoys physically in sexual intercourse, emotionally in sexual intercourse, socially in being seen as masculine or feminine and how that relates to his biological sex characteristics. It may be that he wants to be accepted as a blue male that likes being gruff in the ring and soft in private.

The purrloin response to Zen the Zoroark reminded me of an interaction I had where a trans woman told my boyfriend that he should just transition because I'm not really Bi I want a woman in the first place. The conversation didn't stay civil.

Also, please, for the love that is good, Grimart PLEASE Don't make this like The Beheeyem's master plan to Ruin TiNi's life, this is already scaring me as it is.

    Just like the Lycanrocs-

Oh that could be 100% true.
The problem is we know there was psychic mind fuckery. So how much is earnest and how much is tied to a pokemon potentially reprogramming him?
He seemed to have zero compunction about the subject until that point.

Which seems to be Grim's intention. To leave us guessing

To be fair Tini just asked "What if I'm one?" as in what if I'm trans. Theres definitely a bit of an implication behind that question.

Considering how his mind is at the current moment, it wouldn't be fair to think he's just greatly confused in general.

But implication or not, these Pokemon have absolutely no right to hoard him like that. They are not helping. If anything, they making it worse, purely to make themselves happier.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but from having a few trans-people as friends, I'm pretty sure that's not how it works.
From what I know, you don't "choose" to be trans. You just simply are and the only choice is if you want to come out or not.

Honestly, my closest friend was open homosexual from his early teens and I always liked how the boys looked more than girls. My father hates gays and trans and even in school it's not considered that typical, so lately I started to date one girl who was my friend and actually we started to like each other even more and went intimate though even such image would disgust me few years ago. Some time later I realized that I was still drawn to men as well as to women and so I might be bisexual, even though I thought I was gay as my friend from start. The point is, was I really bi from the start or it was more based on own choice and the result of people's expectations that were shaping my sexuality?

  • Hmm, with talks in the comments about his damaged mind and the fact he's becoming more... bottom-like. Now he's even questioning if he's a Nidoking, I guess that's why the comic is called Corrosion. In a way, his mind has been damaged after that assault to both the mind and the body. His pride shattered, now questioning who he is after being certain of what he was.

There is at least one thing I can take away from this, if I was in the pokemon world, I'm staying a mile away from psychics.

  • While these are good questions to ask yourself at some point in life, these are young and obsessive fangirls, who will try to impose these thoughts on him at the worst moment possible, never in his life had he questioned any of that, but recently he was literally mind raped by a beheeyem and it's not a good time. Also "your genetics messed up" that's not how it works. I may not be very knowledgeable of transgender, but it's a psychological thing, trans people feel that way and chose to live in a way that makes them more comfortable with who they are, it's got nothing to do with having messed up DNA.

That doesn't make any sense at all but okay.
Anyway I'm shocked this comic hasn't been downvoted into oblivion for portraying trans ideals as even POTENTIALLY harmful or misguided.

It's more of the being in a state of mental confusion and looking for an out, this happens to be a group of toxic trans. This also happens to be what I did. Luckily, if found normal trans people and they helped me realize that I'm just a really feminine guy, and I shouldn't have to change my body to fit a stereotype, but if I wanted to that's fine
