This ending seems pretty sudden. People have been mentioning plot elements beyond this point in the comments here and there... does the storyline pick up again in a follow-up comic?

Shia will see a different tomorrow with his Jolteon pal.

There are about 4 short epilogue stories on the artists pages found in the source for those who want more closure. On FA they were marked SOI Epilogue.

I wonder if loona will get back at shia for the rap in the follow up

And here it is, the end point of the great metaphors used through the comic. It was this page when I realized that the author is a real smart cookie. There have been plenty of stories delving into the psychology of rape and what it does to a person, but the way it's presented here is very simple and still gets the message across. Being raped changes who you are, and you can't go back to the way you were before it happened. Just like being forced to evolve into a Jolteon. Just like getting your arm chopped off. But none of those things mean you're dead and your life is over. So no, to all those commenters on the previous pages, she's not gonna grow her arm back. That would be too easy.

The comic is great but that can't be the end yet?

I don't know if Doom plans on uploading the epilogues or not, but in the off chance that they don't, I'll briefly spoil them here. In spoiler tags, of course.

Veera is in love with Igon, the flygon shop owner. Veera and Igon have (consentual) sex, Ara gives them the location of her boat, and they sail off and live happily ever after. Presumably.

Brene never grows her arm back. She has sex with Ara, then leaves with the rest of her guild for the snows on a boat.

Loona gets her knife back, goes to the maze, and kills the Buizel and Quilava from the beginning of the comic. Also she got pregs, presumably by Shia. She runs into Anders again. Anders being the anarchist wallbreaker charmander that gave her the knife, and asks her to join the wallbreakers. While she doesn't want to at first, she agrees, and goes to the docs to get on a different ship. Anders talks to her again and recommends she toss out the egg.

Shia is in the same guild as Brene now. He's on the boat, staring out at the water. He considers suicide, for what he did to Loona. However, the Oshawatt guildmaster, also from the beginning of the comic, convinces him otherwise. He reaches the snows, goes to his new house, only for Loona to ambush him. He tells her that it's okay for her to kill him, and while she says that she'd like to, she instead gives him the egg, and fucks off. Shia cries over it, resolving to take care of it.

I want to hold Shia and never let go. This dude needs love. And therapy. I’ll keep him safe for life. And hopefully keep Loona from cutting his neck open.

I really liked this comic I liked the character of shia I found the comic today and I really don't want to stop watching this comic but it's over I'm going to miss the comic
