Hello again! :D
This animation in particular is something I've wanted to do for a very long time, but I haven't had the technical knowledge to do until now. There were tons of hurdles I had to overcome, things such as the usual problems with weight painting, blending between different materials, and trying to synchronize up four different rigs.
But I didn't let any of those challenges stop me, as I've been trying to pull this off for ages. In fact, the goal of many of my older tentacle animations was to have something like this happen; I just could never make it work for some reason or another. But I stuck with it, and here we are, lol.
I've also approached this animation differently to my usual ones. Generally, I just make one long animation and then render that out. However, since this was a bit longer than normal, I made a bunch of smaller, separate animation loops using Blender's NLA editor, and then afterwards stitched them all back together.
I think the result turned out pretty great, and it's definitely the animation I'm most proud of so far! :D
If you enjoy this stuff as much as I do, feel free to stop by my Patreon. You can get early access to animations, previews, updates, and exclusive angles.
And as always, enjoy!

MemberReally liked how it looked like the tentacle was having to work past some resistance to get deeper. Very nice.
