News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

  • This...this is absolutely fucking golden! The animation is so smooth, and the voice actor did such a great job. Looking forward to the next part (if there is one coming soon)

  • This is the best animation alfa made so far. Also, very clever using Morning Mood as the song and turning the M upside down so it becomes Morning Wood.

  • Holy moly, this is freaking smooth, lovingly and funny somewhat, but nonetheless, it's freaking good!

  • The ending is funny considering I already misread Morning Mood as Morning Wood lol. Also, for some reason I thought they’d have Australian accents, considering they’re kangaroos lol.

  • It should probably be mentioned, there's unlikely to be a continuation to this, at least by Alfa themselves, due to Patreon taking issue with incest, even in the form of art like Alfa's. It really sucks that they're cracking down on it, especially when unless I'm mistaken neither character is underage.

The real kicker is that not only does Patreon have a problem with incest, they have a problem if their users make incest content on other platforms. Alfa had already pulled their incest stuff off Patreon but Patreon forced them to stop making it all together.

There's no way that's even legal.
Discriminating against what people do on unaffiliated platforms cannot be legal.

Unless it's a protected class (race, religion, gender, disability, etc...) then they can probably cite Freedom Of Association. It's not that different from businesses firing someone because they tweeted hate speech. (Well with the difference that cartoon incest doesn't matter in the real world, while believing that some people are less deserving of life and livelihood because you don't agree with them does.)

This debate is a slippery slope but what if a company just wanna censor people who just happen to disagree with them while using those as an excuse/shield?

Like taking tweets out of context (like a sarcastic joke or even a citation).

Anyway Patreon should never interfere with what doesn't affect them directly or else it means that corpos would gain too much power with time.

then that sucks, but they still have the legal ability to do so.

Great animation and voice acting! I'd love to see a continuation of this one

Check out the pool! Someone commissioned another artist to make a comic and Alfa gave it his blessing on Twitter.

Then they just have to go to Subscribestar

  • One the reasons I hate the idea of people just pulling covers off of others when they're sleeping, let alone intruding in their rooms. Bc you don't know whether they're a nude sleeper or not.

  • Interesting fact on the music: this music called "Morning Mood", is made by a composer by the name of Edvard Grieg, he additionally composed "In The Hall of The Mountain King" which you probably have heard.

  • Sounds like obstructive sleep apnea. He should see an ENT and maybe get a sleep study done. 🤔🤔🤔
