Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.
Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.
Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

MemberThis feels like it's leading up to an awkward conversation. I'm sure Rose has mixed feelings about being on life support - especially if her closest friend's resurrection is being cancelled right in front of her.
MightyRaptor
BlockedShadow Magic looks nasty.
Cironnu
MemberPossibly, but I'm getting more of a "she's happy that Trace is finally letting her go" vibe. It's going to be interesting to see how this and Clovis' attack on Reni play out.
I'm just glad we finally got an update. I'd started having withdrawal symptoms!
Shinigamiraptor
MemberBut on the other hand, she may be grateful to Trace for finally having grown. Seeing him happy, willing to move on instead of seething in resentment for the rest of his life
Evellon
MemberI agree with the comments above.
She saw first hand Trace's descent into madness, plus her own story of betrayal. Maybe she was still in doubt about his whole "reformation". Letting Saria go would be the final test and solid proof that he's indeed a new man.
That, or she's being controlled by Detritus.
Jacked-Assassin
MemberIn memory of Detritus's anticlimactic death.
Drakkenfyre
MemberDitto. She's had two experiences so far that've shown her that Trace isn't the same person anymore. This would be the ultimate proof. His entire hatred of Keidran, his violent overthrow of the Templar, and all the cruel and monstrous acts he committed were because of what happened to Saria and his attempt at bringing her back. If he can let that go, there's no more proof needed that he's a changed person.
Also, while I'm glad to see some resolution about Detritus, it comes at the cost of another dramatic moment scene change.
TendoTwo
MemberI was wondering if that is even really Rose though. I don't understand why beating up Detritus would cause her to start "shorting out" like some kind of damaged hologram like that, I actually wonder if that's still Detritus using the same projection magic or whatever that Rose uses.
Drakkenfyre
MemberRose is tied magically to the mansion. Detritus was also tied to the mansion, being inactive until Maren's touch on the magic table alerted him to her presence. He demonstrated that he had control over the mansion's magics and defenses. If his death had any effect on her, I'd say it's because the two share a power source of the mansion itself. Like two lamps plugged into one socket that suddenly stops working.
lurkmore
MemberI think she's been largely too stoic so far for me to make that assessment confidently. She could equally be grateful to see an end to the madness and request to be let go, have actually desired in some capacity to see Saria again, or personally fear being unplugged. Given Tom's storytelling trajectory, I don't expect anything explicitly selfish, but with his propensity for drama I think they're all plausible.
AdarJoor
MemberHonestly, I had the same thought. That kinda seemed too easy.
Asmodea
MemberSo figure what, six months? A year before we see what’s going on with Clovis/Reni now?
CamKitty
MemberTrace: "yes"
*scene ends*
Evellon
MemberThe comic has been going on for 18 years... I'd say that Tom's not in any rush to wrap things up.
Jacked-Assassin
MemberI expect we're going to see Sythe and Mrs. Nibbly soon.
Eric, Kat, and Zen's story is done and may show up to see what's going on with Reni.
No telling if that explosion destroyed the bodies of Clovis and Brutus, so I expect Brahn's expectations to be correct until proven wrong.

MemberI mean, to be fair, most golem-class entities have a programmed purpose, and when enacting that purpose they essentially overclock to ensure the duty is successful
