Taking a wild guess, possibly not, his announcement on patreon wasn't much clear on his future intentions but thing's aren't looking too great for animations as a whole.
Sad to see another great artist pursuing some other path, he's losing patreons though so that's on him.

Lot of new business opportunities including Vtuber stuffs. Don't blame him for pursuing better income, but still disappointing.

I'm actually not earning more than I did doing furry content all day, pursuing this passion project comes at a small cost and a difference in revenue. It can be lots of fun to work on NSFW furry stuff, but I've been struggling to find new subjects for my illustrations within the furry community. A lot of it revolves around the same small selection of characters we all already explored, and after a while it all feels recycled. In contrast to that, the vtuber community is in constant development, bustling with new ideas and concepts to explore, the technology is improving extremely fast, and as an animator, this just fills me with passion/pushes me to work harder. I finally have something to show to my family or friends if they ever ask me what I do all day, instead of distancing myself further from them by trying to keep secrets. It's a selfish choice but a fair trade.

Hm. I thought it'd be a bump in income, but you can't put a price on passion. The tweets you put out on the cancellation of animations lead to my conclusion. Thanks for the clarification.
