Aiight, there's a lot wrong with this take. Well, aside from the fact that you can just blacklist tags you don't like if it's that much of an issue.

1. Patrick is not Kad's sona. Kad's sona has already appeared in ask pages and is distinctly not Patrick.

2. It's kinda presumptuous to assume Kad's tastes suddenly changed once he got a girlfriend. This is made even more yikes (as if the implication, unintentional or not, that his girlfriend is the reason for this isn't bad enough) by the fact that these themes didn't show up in Kad's work until long after they started dating, so this just makes it seem like you're seeking something or someone to "blame" for what started Kad's use of these themes. Artists are capable of getting into new subject matter of their own free will without outside influence, and for all we know it could've been something he was always into that he didn't start exploring in his work until later on.

3. "I'm fine with open relationships, but I'm not fine with being cheated on, and there's a big difference." Correct, there is a big difference between open relationships and cheating, and what is being depicted here is not the latter. It's kind of a no-win situation because Pat could be wearing a T-shirt saying "I'm into this" in all caps and bold letters and some people will still think he's not happy, or that he's agreeing to it under duress, or that he's brainwashed, etc. etc.

Tell you what, you're probably right. I'm probably just disappointed in the turn that Kadath's art took, and I'm probably just looking for a scapegoat. But I can't emotionally get over the change in themes, and I guess that means I'm cursed to believe Kadath was somehow manipulated into becoming the artist he is now. Besides, he apparently just dropped the incest-content because it made his girlfriend uncomfortable. I mean, say what you will about relationships, but I just don't appreciate it when they should have to influence art like that. If someone is restricting you from expressing your feelings in a genuine way, or impeding your work strategy, that's an alarming sign in my book.

So... you admit that blaming his relationship was just you looking for a scapegoat... and then proceed to make another baseless claim about his relationship being the reason he stopped doing incest stuff, then continue to lament about how "relationships shouldn't influence art like that" when you don't even know if that's the case and insist that it must be such.

Not only does it put undue blame on a third party, but it also implies that Kad doesn't have enough free will as a person to make his own decisions regarding his work. Kad is capable of losing interest in something of his own volition, and seeking something or someone to blame for it is straight up not healthy.

That sounds less like a Kad problem and more like a you problem, and this is just an observation, but I find it interesting that this is almost identical to the rationale behind the negative reactions to Nightshade. They resort to calling the relationship abusive, even when they see proof to the contrary because they can't get over the change in themes. It HAS to be manipulation or some outside force, because that's the only way it can make sense to people like this.

Likewise, it's not a curse that's making you continue to believe that there's manipulation at work. It is yourself, because that belief is more comfortable than accepting the possibility Kad changed of his own free will.
