It would've been more apparent if the artist had made the background a little bit more detailed.

He just fired off his knuckle children in space. I don't think he has enough time to make a detailed background, because he has to clean all of his disappointments up.

I feel like he could have used a little more precautions (condoms) next time.

That said, a starry sky (or a crescent Earth) visible through a background window would have made this scene far less ambiguous.
