News: Feb 26, 2025 Show

Feb 26th:A new bill in Arizona is making its way through the Senate that would force sites like e621 to implement mandatory age verification for all users—or face potential lawsuits. This system would require third-party vendors to verify every user’s age through a government database. Not only is this a massive violation of privacy, but it also introduces serious risks, including identity theft through phishing schemes and other malicious methods. Worse still, we would have no control over ensuring that user data is permanently deleted after verification.

Since e621 operates out of Arizona, this law would almost certainly impact us if it passes. If you want to help ensure that we can continue serving you without being forced to collect personal information, we urge you to contact Arizona’s senators and ask them to vote NO on this bill.

Please help spread the word about this issue and encourage others to take action.
Further information on the bill itself can be found at the Free Speech Coalition: https://action.freespeechcoalition.com/bill/arizona-hb-2112/

    FUCKING OOF

Is that really fair? The only hint you have she is blind is her eyes are white, no you shouldn't judge by appearance but it wasn't meant to be insensitive.

I mean, it's not like that in the description of her ref sheet post, canary LITERALLY say "no see dog" and that all her other post of her explicitly shows that's she's blind

Not everyone who is browsing goes to that page first. I didn't know when I first saw her, but due to my love of Doxies and their rarity as characters I looked into it. Another perfect example Diives has a character who is a Blue monkey, looking at her there are few things you only know if you look into it. One she is lightning element, she is shy beyond measure, hasn't a ounce of spite in her soul, and the last two She is Deaf and Mute.

Nothing from a glance tells you any of that, her blue fur might hint at the electrical power but could also be water, beyond that everything is up to grasping at straws. It is not always simple to understand a character by looks, just like a book cannot be judged by its cover.

y-you make a really good point did know that shiliu was a mute but I didn´t know that she was deaf until now and yeah you´re right I did´t know about her electric element until I started looking into her more. So yeah you´re sorry for lashing out like that

Glad to have a discussion and not a argument here. Hope I didn't come off hot headed, just know of all of the old sayings "Never Judge A Book By its cover" is something more people need to learn. Less anger and more intelligent conversations.

Yeah took me a bit to realize she was mute, deaf was easy to figure out from all the put downs she never reacts to. But then I see she never says a word and was told she was mute. Adorable Shiliu is a many faced mirror.

"I see," said the blind man, as he picked up his hammer and bludgeoned everybody in the room.

"How did I not see that coming?" Said a patrons on the ground, huge dent on his head.

"She may be blind, but sure has an eye for detail?" said another barely, teeth missing.
