I am the sourse, patreon is just one of many sites it was uploaded on. Due to patreon rules i can't post nsfw content to be available for everyone.

I added them last night. Even if you're the artist, it's always good to include sources to where the image can be found in that field. Including ones such as that FA link I added, even if it's of a different scale. It not only lets users who like your content find your galleries easier, I've heard it makes the curators job easier as well.

Not really no. If you have suspision that the post should be deleted for our rules or guidelines, just go ahead and flag the post for appropriate reason. If it turns out not correct, we can simply unflag and approve and move on.

We do have rules here that posting paid material, including crowdfunding platforms, is againts our rules. As such having a source to check that the content was actually publicly posted on purpose helps our work on keeping pirated material away from here. Some artists simply do "patreon exclusive" and "publicly released" watermarks in corner so even regular users know if they are watching pirated content or not.
Also if you want this to show up properly on FA, resubmit the file on the submission after initial upload and it replaces it with proper quality and resolution copy.

Subscribestar is a pretty good alternative to Patreon if you have issues sidestepping their rules.
